Democrats want to treat terrorism as a law enforcement issue. A good case can be made for this view. With good prosecution of a law enforcement action terror could be handled in this mindset. Giuliani went after organized crime as law enforcement issue and Islams relationship to terror is similar to the mafias relationship to Christianity. The weakness of the idea is that Democrats do not enforce laws. Democrats ran New York into the ground with their forgiving view of crime. They handled crime so badly that Rudolf Giuliani, a Republican (barbarian), became mayor. Giuliani cleaned up New York by just enforcing laws.

        In current Democratic havens, the prospects are bleak. I live in Baltimore where the Mayor has created less bad crime numbers by a dont listen, dont tell approach to crime. Call the police and they try to talk you out of filing a report. There are rumors that filed reports are lost. By doing this, crime rates are down but murders are up (it is difficult to hide bodies).

        Democratic leaders have promised to listen to our European allies regarding terror. The paralysis of Europe toward Islamic terror is not something to which anyone should aspire. England is doing better than the Continent, but promises to become more continental in the near post- Blair future. France is mired in Islamic immigration problems and denial. Violent outbursts are said to not be a result of religion. Instead, the youths are protesting against the horrible economic chains France has on its economy, which the Democrats also want to emulate.

        Reports are emerging that some residents are donning veils to avoid confrontation with Islamic thugs in European capitals. The reaction to violence related to cartoons about the Prophet was to have European governments strong-arm news organizations who considered re-prints. Europeans, like the Democrats, choose to bury their heads in hopes that everything will work out.

        The hope behind the war in Iraq always was small. I am a devoted supporter of the war in spite of this reservation because, while the hope is small, the war offers the only hope toward a free, middle-class bearing, democratic, middle east. The organized crime syndicate that Islamic terror comes from is funded through oil in the Middle East and fueled by the hatred of Western capitalism-culture.

        Hatred is like a personal representation of a stellar black hole. If one allows himself to hate anything, the hate becomes a justification and then a reason. While at first hate is approached with caution, the choice becomes easier and quicker. Soon, hate is a primary motivator. As the anti-Bush bumper stickers reveal, doctrines of hate have many followers and few who are willing to stand against them.

        In a utopian world, Democrats would come and add action to the words that are now being said: give fresh eyes on the situation, tweak the approach and move forward. What will happen are actions that will convey the evil that has been allowed in Washington. Brown-outs and a booming business in locks just ahead.
